According to the official Facebook and Twitter pages for WPMI-TV, the station cancelled their plan to broadcast "LawCall", a local legal advice program, on the night of Sunday, September 15th, due to a delay in the "Sunday Night Football" game they were broadcasting that night (with the Seahawks of Seattle, Washington and the 49ers of San Francisco, California playing in Seattle) that lasted from 8:05 until 9:05 on account of lightning in the area where the game was taking place (the delay began during the the first quarter of the game with three minutes and 13 seconds left over).
If WPMI-TV had not cancelled their plan for "LawCall", it would have been broadcast immediately after the late local news program they were set to broadcast that night accordance with their regular plan for broadcasting those programs and football programming from the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) on Sunday nights.
(note: the articles about the changes WALA-TV, WFNA-TV, and WJTC-TV had planned for their regular programming schedules by this September were amended on Saturday, September 14th, with other programs they had planned on broadcasting on a regular basis for the year ahead).
