Back to Shepherdstown, West Virginia for another business review and I am now having a lot more fun as I write these reviews, so look out.
The Lost Dog café used to be one of my favorite hangout places when I was in Graduate school at Shepherd University. That was about three years ago when I was taking Managerial Economics with my favorite professor, Dr. John Schultz who is a mathematical genius and loves game theory as much as I do. Things in Shepherdstown have greatly changed.
The owner of the Lost Dog Cafe proudly serves his large coffee for two bucks a cup. Yet, he charges you fifty cents for the goddamn cream. Not only does he charge you that small amount of money, he also forces you to endure a ten minute lecture validating his reason for the extra charge for his dairy services. Simply ordering any kind of beverage at Lost Dog entitles this man to force his customers to endure a ten minute lecture from this man. I have been through this twice last week and with everything else going on in the world, I have decided that my coffee is too important to me to sit through lectures.
I have found myself avoiding the Lost Dog Café at any cost, I even park my car farther away from that part of the town and I seem to wander into the Shepherdstown Sweet Shop which sells coffee for two dollars and twelve cents, yet there is no lecture and the half and half is free.
One should have peace and quiet while they get their grove on with their morning caffeine. On the bright side, a student could definitely find enough material to write a sit com about that man who owns the Lost Dog Café. He should go into comedy and get out of the coffee business.
