Spiritandsong.com's newest bilingual resource, Come, Follow Me/Ven Sígueme, brings spiritual navigation to pilgrim groups planning events around this year's World Youth Day.
"World Youth Day gathers young Catholics from around the world and ignites their commitment to Christ and his Church," says Robert Feduccia, Spiritandsong.com's general manager. "Come Follow Me/Ven Sígueme is a resource that serves not only as a spiritual guide to World Youth Day, but also to unite young disciples participating in events here in North America. From August 10-25, Charleston Catholics using Come, Follow Me/Ven, Sígueme will have access to:
- Prayer texts for the Communal Celebration of Reconciliation, daily Mass, morning and evening prayer and Eucharistic Adoration;
- Daily reflections with room for journaling; and
- Words and chords for familiar songs like Lead Me, Lord and popular contemporary titles like Your Grace is Enough and Go Make a Difference.
Since the resource contains prayers, rites and songs for August 10-25 — a full week before and five days after the official World Youth Day festivities — group leaders have some flexibility when planning events.
"Many dioceses in the Americas are holding rallies, at home, to celebrate World Youth Day," says Feduccia. "By extending the resource content before and after the official dates we can support both pilgrims participating in their own communities as well as groups that are spending extra time in Spain."
