Saddle up for the ‘World’s Toughest Rodeo’ as it makes its way to St. Paul’s Xcel Energy Center this weekend. Show starts at 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday, February 3rd and 4th.
Champion cowboys will display their skills, like TV’s ‘Toughest Cowboy’ competitor Charlie Baker, who will attempt competing on six animals each night during the rodeo triathalon. The nationally recognized talents of Anthony Lucia are also featured as he demonstrates trick and fancy roping. More exciting entertainment includes bareback and saddle bronc riding, as well as the popular and dangerous bull riding. Cowgirls will also be there to barrel race and those crazy rodeo clowns will bring the laughs.
Before each nights show, kids are welcome to participate in the ‘Cowboy Kids Zone’. Here real cowboys give the children lessons on how to lasso a steer, barrel race and much more.
Special events include ‘Free Cowboy Hat Night’ on Friday, where the first 500 children 12 years and under through the door will receive a free cowboy hat to remember the nights action-packed events and look like a real life cowpoke. On Saturday night, country sensation and recent American Country Award nominee Justin Moore will perform during the ‘Party on the Dirt’ following the ‘World’s Toughest Rodeo’ and guests are encouraged to stay and enjoy the live music and dancing.
Regularly priced tickets start at $17 for adults and $9.50 for kids 12 and under. For more information and discounts on tickets, including advance Friday night purchases and Boy & Girl Scout offers, click here.
