The world's shortest woman visited the world's tallest building in New York City, according to a Sept 13 CBS News report. Jyoti Amge, of Nagpur, India, stands just 24.7 inches tall. Her visit to the 86th floor of the Empire State Building was an effort to promote the 2014 Guinness Book of World Records.
Of her visit to New York City and the Empire State Building Amge said,
"The Guinness Book of World Records has given me the opportunity to travel the world and I've become very popular and very famous."
It seems the world's shortest woman is enjoying her world record title and the fame it has afforded her. She has already starred in Bollywood films, but as soon as she graduates college, she hopes to go to California to continue her movie career.
"I want to enter into the world of Hollywood that is now my target my goal right now I'm studying in the 12th grade I'm studying arts so whenever I have free time when I have my exams I do study a lot and I want to excel in everything so that is the target which I'm keeping right now in my mind."
The world's shortest woman stood on the observation floor of the Empire State Building wearing a beautiful purple gown that would typically fit a toddler. After her time at the Empire State Building, Jyoti Amge also went to visit the Statue of Liberty in New York City.
It sounds like this unusually short woman has some unusually tall goals, and she seems like she is well on her way to meeting those goals.
