19-year-old Jyoti Amge visited the Empire State Building’s 86th floor to bring a bit of a contrast for a photo shoot of the world’s shortest woman and one of the world’s tallest buildings.Amge, who hails from Nagpur India, is only two-feet, one-half-of-an-inch tall.
This was her first visit to the United States and Amge spoke with the media through a translator. She credits the Guinness World Records for making her “very popular” and “very famous.” She gets to travel the world since being named the world’s shortest woman, something she appeared very happy about.
While in New York City, she visited the Statue of Liberty and Times Square as well as the Empire State Building. She is happy to be involved in the launch of the new Guinness World Records. Amge is about the size of a child's doll. She is appears perfectly scaled down to this short stature.
