The world’s shortest woman, a 2-foot tall and 19-year-old Bollywood star and Guinness World Records’ recipient, was recently visiting New York this September as part of her world tour. While young Jyoti Amge may only be a senior year student, her big dreams are ones that are leading her on the way to Hollywood this week, India TV News via CoolBuster.net reports this Friday, Sept. 13.
This world’s shortest woman — who isn’t much bigger than a couple of shoe sizes put together — may not stand very tall at 2 feet, but her aspirations are high as the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building, two New York landmarks she just visited on her big promo tour.
“The Guinness Book of World Records has given me the opportunity to travel the world and I’ve become very popular and very famous,” Amge said with a smile in Hindi.
Amge, standing at full height, measures exactly two feet and one half-inch tall, has been cast in two separate Bollywood films in recent years. While she may only look like a child, the 19-year-old woman is still very interested in trying her luck in Hollywood in the future, once she’s finished with school, of course.
“I want to enter into the world of Hollywood, that is now my target. My goal right now...I’m studying in the 12th grade, I’m studying arts so whenever I have free time when I have my exams I do study a lot and I want to excel in everything,” the world's shortest woman finished in her interview.
The young lady visited New York in order to help promote the upcoming 2014 edition of The Guinness Book of World Records.
Do you think the 2-foot tall, smiling Ms. Jyoti Amge might make her big dreams a reality someday here in the U.S.?
