“The world’s most interesting man,” is what the Dos Equis TV beer commercial dubs Jonathan Goldsmith’s character. For the role on this beer ad he is usually sporting a blonde and brunette on each arm, but for his real-life role you are most likely to find him with his dog, Willie, by his side.

According to MSN on Jan. 20, this Manchester, Vermont resident is a dog lover and he is lending his face to a Vermont-based company to raise money for canine cancer. The funds raised will go to Morris Animal Foundation based in Denver.

This foundation promotes veterinary research for companion animals, wildlife and horses. Instead of a beer and a smiling blond, Goldsmith is shown with his dog Willie, an Anatolian shepherd, for the Orvis Co. in Vermont, who is raising the money for the foundation.

The Orvis Company caters to the man who loves the outdoors and it also has a line of dog items. The 75-year-old still has the sex appeal needed for his role as “the most interesting man in the world,” and apparently he has one big heart for dogs. Goldsmith shared how he had a dog that he loved die from cancer, so he is happy to lend his “interesting man” look to the campaign to raise the money for canine cancer research.

Besides seeing Goldsmith looking interesting, you may have caught his roles on TV and movies. “Charlie’s Angel’s,” “Magnum P.I “ and “Dallas” have all had this interesting fellow on their shows!
