More than 500 roller coaster enthusiasts from 37 states, the District of Columbia and three provinces in Canada will visit Kings Island this weekend as part of the American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) annual National Spring Conference.

The trip will include hours of roller coaster riding for conference attendees, who will also have exclusive ride opportunities before and after the park is open to the public. Reportedly, many are eager to ride the new record-breaking coaster, Banshee.

Banshee, the world’s longest inverted steel roller coaster, at 4,124 feet features a 167-foot lift hill, 150-foot curved first drop, a dive loop, a vertical loop encircling the lift hill, a zero-gravity roll, a pair of batwing inversions, outside loop, spiral, in-line roll and carousel, all at speeds up to 68 miles per hour.

Other event highlights include the 35th anniversary celebration of world’s longest wooden roller coaster, The Beast, with two hours of exclusive night ride time on May 17 and a behind-the-scenes tour of the 7,359-foot long ride on May 18.

Attendees will also have a chance to ride more of the park's signature coasters, including Diamondback, the Backlot Stunt Coaster, Vortex, Shake, Rattle & Roll, Flight of Fear, The Racer, Adventure Express, Flying Ace Aerial Chase, Great Pumpkin Coaster, Woodstock Express and The Bat.

Throughout the weekend, attendees will enjoy connecting with other coaster lovers as they share stories about all of the roller coasters they have experienced all over the world, such as in Europe, Central America, Australia, Asia and Japan. The conference will also feature special guest speakers, contests, prizes and behind-the-scenes tours of Kings Island’s 364-acre amusement and waterpark.
