A tiny frog that no one has ever heard about before has become the newest web sensation, and has reached 1.4 million views by Tuesday. It is without a doubt, as the video title claims, the world's cutest frog, and you can't help but want to watch and listen to it over and over again.
Sounding like a squeaky toy, and actually even looking like one that had been left on the shore of San Diego's Dog Beach, the Namaqua desert rain frog from South Africa puffs up its body to be able to make the little sound.
Dean Bashoff, a wildlife photographer shot the footage at Port Nolloth in the Northern Cape province and calls the amphibian's sound a "mighty war cry," reports Brietbart news.
In the video (see below) you see the frog puffed up and wobbly as he backs away from Bashoff, and begins its distress call, letting Bashoff know he is getting too close.
Bashoff is encouraging people to "keep on sharing your videos of how your animals react to hearing this frog's mighty war cry."
Mozart, the Maine Coone was put to the test. He was silently napping nearby when he heard the little frog. The sound woke him up and he began searching around the computer speakers for the little creature he could hear, but not see. Whether he was coming to the aid or to stalk, will always be his little secret.
