This plane design requires a square piece of paper. If your paper isn't square to begin with, fold it at a diagonal from one corner...
...and trim off the excess.
This will leave you with a square folded once - into a triangle.
Fold up approximately 1" of the bottom edge of the triangle.
Curl the triangle around to create a tube, and tuck one end into the crease. This does leave the other end loose and sticking out, but that won't affect your plane's aerodynamic qualities. If you like, you can tape down the end with a small bit of tape.
Throw the plane by pinching the tube at the narrowest point (near where the thumb is in the photo for STEP 5) and flick the plane underhand.
