The World Airport Awards presented by Skytrax, is the leading global awards for the World's Best Airports, voted by travelers from over 160 countries in the largest airport customer satisfaction survey.
According to a March 27, report by CNN, Singapore Changi Airport has been crowned the best in the world, for the second year in a row. "Changi, which also won the award for best airport leisure amenities, beat out second-place Incheon International Airport in South Korea and third-place Munich Airport in Germany."
Skytrax compiles 12.85 million survey questionnaires completed by 110 different nationalities of airline customers during the survey period in 2013 and 2014 (completed February 2014).
The survey covered 410 airports worldwide. This established, industry survey is totally Independent, and evaluates traveler experiences across 39 different airport service and product key performance indicators from check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security and immigration through to departure at the gate.
