World of Wheels

World of Wheels is a custom car show that travels around the United States and Canada bringing all sorts of unique cars and motorcycles to the country's major cities. On January 24th through the 26th of this year, the World of Wheels made the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pa its home. Not only the touring group bring some classic cars, but some speical wrestling guests were on hand as well.

New cars such as the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray were on display, but so were custom cars of all sorts. Race cars from different racing series, “rat rods,” cars that are meant to look DIY-patchwork on purpose (my favorite of the show) and custom bicycles were just some of the electic pieces on display. WWE superstar Sheamus was on hand Friday, January 24, former WWE superstar Chris Jericho was on hand January 26 and Pittsburgh Pirates closer Jason Grilli was on hand Sunday with freestyle motocross demonstrations happening throughout every day. I went on Saturday before the Ring of Honor wrestling show and met Jericho, who was one of the nicest guys I know. One of my colleagues who went with me asked him how to win at arm wrestling, which is something Jericho said he may answer if a fan ever met him in person. He did spill the beans, but that secret cannot be divulged here. You would have to meet Jericho yourself.

If you find yourself in a city during the World of Wheels show, definitely go. It's an event that family-friendly, has celebrities and really cool cars. The people are nice and welcoming too. You cannot beat that.
