World of Warcraft patch 5.2 trailer: the Thunder King comes

Patch 5.2 has yet to hit live servers, but the next best thing has been released by Blizzard. The trailer for the patch, of course!

The patch recounts the history of Lei Shen, the Thunder King, in poetic fashion. He reigned as a tyrant over Pandaria, but eventually died as all rulers do. The Zandalari trolls revived him to reforge an old alliance, and here we are with a new menacing antagonist to face.

Moreover, it gives a snazzy preview of some of the bosses in the new Throne of Thunder raid, which of course the Thunder King will be a vital part of. Are those armored dinosaurs I see there? Why, yes they are. How does one prepare for armored dinosaurs?

That aside, the patch also features a new zone, the Isle of Thunder. The Throne of Thunder raid is only a part of this new area. The rest of it is dedicated to new daily questing hubs, where the Sunreavers and Kirin Tor of the Horde and Alliance, respectively, struggle for dominance over the Thunder King's Mogu and troll forces, and against each other.

Patch 5.2 lands...well, there's no confirmed date as of yet. But with the release of an official trailer, as well as the PvP season being confirmed to end on March 5, then March 5 is a likely candidate. March 5, people. Until then, think about how you're going to take on some armored dinosaurs.
