The Expo is a child-friendly event with lots of fun activities for everyone. There are seminars, workshops and other educational and entertaining sessions including the Birdwhisperer, Jesse James, Emergency! with Dr. Christina Chambreau and other animal experts who keep every type of pet imaginable.

A new feature this year is Pup Cake & Cup Cake bake-off to benefit rescue groups. Participating cupcake bakers are tasked with creating 100 cupcakes inspired by their pets. The competition gets more interesting as the bakers are given some mystery ingredients to add to their baked goods.

Lots of dog and cat rescue groups will attend, along with the Mid-Atlantic Turtle & Tortoise Society and the World of Birds. In addition, the Hidden Paw Cat Show will be held within the Expo on Saturday and Sunday. An agility competition will showcase well-trained canines.

Along with the animals will be the sale of supplies, clothing, crates and other pet accessories. Companies selling pet treats and foods will be in attendance.

The hours for the Expo are 2-8 Friday, 10-7 Saturday and 10-6 Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children, kids under five are free.
