World No Tobacco Day

Tobacco use is the leading preventable cause of death. This year alone close to 5 million persons will die from tobacco related complications, over 10,000 deaths among Indiana Hoosiers. Complications from tobacco use include heart attacks, strokes, cancers, and other diseases. World No Tobacco Day is sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) and is observed every year on May 31.  If you are ready to quit smoking, Indiana had great resources to help you quit the habit.  Get healthy for summer call the Indiana Quit Line and get the swift kick in the pants you need to quit for good!
