Landmarks all over the world will go blue on Wednesday, April 2 for the 7th Annual World Autism Awareness Day, including the famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. The event is called "Light it Up Blue."The regular light bulbs on the sign will be replaced with blue ones for the day.

Every year autism organizations around the world celebrate the day with unique fundraising and awareness-raising events. Over the past two years the Love Dog animal therapy team has been working with children with autism and chronicled our journey with young boy, Julian.

Julian and his family and "Team Julian" have been invited to be present along with county commissioners for the official "flipping of the switch" at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign on April 2 at 4:00 pm. The family has been invited to say a few words promoting World Autism Awareness Day.

They welcome anyone who would like to come out for this. For more information about this event go to www.liub.autismspeaks.org and click on Light It Up Blue.
