World AIDS Day first day of Ryan Seacrest’s 12 days of Giving

“American Idol” and radio host Ryan Seacrest has proposed the ’12 Days of Giving’ during the first 12 days of December; Seacrest’s first organization is World AIDS Day, which is December 1st. Over the next 12 days Ryan Seacrest will be encouraging others to give back this holiday season.

There are over 33.4 million people in the world living with HIV/AIDS and over 22 million of them are in the most underprivileged countries in the world. The majority of people with HIV/AIDS live in Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland Africa where the percentage of people living with HIV/AIDS is an estimated 20%.

Also retailers such as Starbucks are contributing five cents on every handcrafted beverage purchased on World AIDS Day, Gap will contribute 1% of all sales at stores in the US and Canada, Dell will make double contributions on all (RED) products sold from 11/26 to12/2 and Bugaboo will contribute 1% of revenue for all products sold.
