Many spiritual traditions, including Unity, believe that all emotions are rooted in either love or fear. This means that in order to understand and transform our negative feelings, we must be able to face and transform our fears.
Learn specific strategies to face your fears and to understand the purpose that the voice of fear serves in a workshop entitled “The Voices of Love and Fear and the Gifts of Negative Emotions” at Unity North Atlanta Church on Sunday, February 10, 2013, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. Reverend Jesse Rhea, Certified Relationship Counselor, will facilitate the workshop where participants are expected to develop: (a) awareness of personal modes of expression; (b) effective communication skills; (c) insight into individual fears; and (d) strategies to face fears, all of which will renew and enhance a sense of connection. The cost of this workshop is $20.00 per person to be paid at the event.

The following text is available on Amazon: “Courage: Overcoming Fear and Igniting Self-confidence” by Debbie Ford ($17.15 in hardcover; $9.99 for Kindle). Please view the brief video accompanying this article which showcases Debbie Ford presenting the meaningful Vow of the Courageous Warrior from her book.
The content of Debbie Ford’s book eventually became an online course called "Overcoming Fear" offered on the DailyOm website. Many become discouraged by the thought of taking an online course due to the exorbitant costs generally associated with them. DailyOm has taken a unique, compassionate approach to online education, which they term “conscious exchange,” in this age of financial stress. These are the words that appear on the payment screen during the course registration process: “We believe that personal growth is a gift that everyone should have access to, no matter how much money they have. Therefore, we offer many of our online courses with the option of selecting how much you can afford to pay. No matter how much you pay, you'll be getting the same course as everybody else. We simply trust that people are honest and will support the author of the course with whatever they can afford, and the gifts will come back to everyone involved, many times over.”
