Around Louisville, there are many McMansions and newer homes with vaulted or high ceilings. Many times people are at a loss as to how to design around the space. Here are some tips and ideas:
-crown molding and wainscotting break up the wall
-paint one wall
-drape one wall
-use a tapestry on one wall or upper portions of walls
-blow up images and/or art work to fit on the wall
-hang lighting from ceiling
-hang objects (toy planes, viusal space art, decoration) from ceilng
-paint the top parts of the walls a slighly darker color
-large architectual pieces hung on walls make space seem smaller
-stay away from mirrors on these walls as they will appear to increase the size
