After taking a break to celebrate the holidays, 4J Studios is now back at work on the console editions of Minecraft. The developer announced on Jan 6 that their first priority at the moment is addressing issues that are currently affecting Minecraft: PS3 Edition players. After the fixes have been implemented, the team will then begin working on Title Update 14 for both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions of the popular block building game.

Fans have waited quite some time for news on Title Update 14 because 4J Studios placed their entire focus on launching the PS3 edition of Minecraft. As such, the developer postponed all future updates in order to finally release the game on Playstation last month. However, now that the PS3 version is out, the developer has now confirmed that they will begin work on TU14 shortly.

Furthermore, 4J Studios stated that once Title Update 14 has been released, they will begin work on bringing the game to additional platforms. Minecraft has already been announced for future release on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PS Vita.

The issues affecting Minecraft: PS3 Edition that are likely being addressed include a bug that corrupts players’ save file, which is why fixing the issue is currently taking priority over other projects.
