For years I worked outside of the home, but after having my second child I was determined to find a way to work at home. I made this decision as daycare was extremely expensive and due to my husbands crazy 12 hour schedule, it just made sense for me to stay at home with our children instead of working just to pay daycare expenses. I started my hunt for work at home jobs in 2011, when my oldest daughter was 11 and my youngest about to turn 1. I decided to create a blog about couponing, which turned out to be a great idea. I was making small income by about $25 a month. It was not very much at all, but it was something. I continued with my blog and eventually lost interest in doing the same thing every day. I wanted something more. I needed more income. So I decided to sit down and formulate a plan where I could work online from 8 am til 5 pm during the week, doing all different types of things online. This was the best plan I have ever made.
Right now I hold 7 online jobs. Not all of them offer a work assignment daily, but I am always busy doing something online that makes me some sort of income.
I decided to close my coupon website but to continue posting what I could via my facebook page. I use many different affiliate programs that provide some of the most amazing offers you can find online and if a reader is interested in it, I will make a small profit off of it. Some of the affiliate programs I use are :
Panthera Network- This company has many offers, some that pay you when a person simply clicks on the link (much like google adsense). I prefer to only post the offers that people actually enjoy, free samples and coupons. I try my hardest to never throw out an offer to my readers that I suspect to be a spam link. You can find quite a few of those these days. Panthera will pay you once you reach a $50 threshold and they will pay you via paypal, check, direct deposit or wire transfer. You can also make extra money by referring other bloggers who would like to earn from their blogs, but only for a year.
Escalate Network- I started using Escalate before Panthera and was quite satisfied with the offers they presented. They always have alot of free samples, coupons, contests and giveaways. They have a low payment threshold of only $25 and they will pay you via paypal every month as long as you have reached the threshold. Alot like Panthera, they have a referral program too. They will pay you $5 for every referral.
Using the two companies above I am able to generate about $100-200 a month. If you own a blog and have not incentivized it yet, you should check these companies out. I know some who make thousands monthly by using these programs, but their blogs are their only job and they pump out about 30 blog posts a day. Mix that with 100,000+ readers, I call that a paycheck, but I am satisfied with my little checks.
Of course, some months I get paid alot less. It always depends on how much time you put into it. I won't deny, I do slack off on occasion. =)
One of my more recent online working adventures is Slicethepie.com. This company will pay you to review music. You don't get to pick the genre which can be quite disturbing to some, but it is honest work. You are able to cash out once you reach $10. They will then deposit that into your paypal account. I am about to cash out for a 3rd time with them, so I trust them completely. Your pay will be based on how well your review is. They expect your reviews to be from the heart. As many of the online work programs I choose, they have a referral program where you will earn 10% of what your referrals make. This can help a bit if your referral is active. While I am on the subject of referrals, another fun website I use is called Swagbucks.com. I use this website to earn free gift cards, in which I can giveaway on my facebook page to my readers or buy myself something nice. An Amazon $5 gift card is only 450 points and that can be made in a day using swagbucks. I enjoy referring people as not only does it help them get some freebies, I also earn swagbucks when they earn swagbucks by searching the internet.
Obviously I do it all, but the following are a bit different as they actually require you to work. I joined Clickworker.com and was very impressed. They offer many types of data entry jobs. In order to qualify for them you will need to take their assessment tests so they know what you are capable of. Then you just check the site daily and if you see a job listed you are interested in, you can accept it. They will have the amount the job pays next to the assignment. They will pay you via paypal. They also have a referral program where you refer a friend and get paid $5 when your friend accumulates $10 from working the assignments. I enjoy the proofreading assignments as well as the address research projects.
I started writing for Examiner.com in April of 2011. They're a pretty decent company and they always pay on the 20th of the month via paypal. If you enjoy writing articles about a certain subject, this is the job for you. I carry two titles, the Columbia Coupon Examiner and the Columbia Internet Deals Examiner. You can apply for whatever title you want. They ask that you provide a writing sample, which may sound intimidating to some but to be honest it is very simple. As long as you use proper grammar, you should have absolutely no problem getting chosen. I am no english major but I took my chances and was rewarded with a great opportunity. Examiner.com has a payment threshold of $10. You will also get paid more depending on your page views and they will also post advertisements in your writing and you get paid for that as well. It is a very rewarding job. You will get nice discounts on hotels, car rentals and more. You will also get a press badge to wear if you plan to attend press conferences for certain topics you write on. It is pretty cool.
Lastly, PollBuzzer.com is another great work at home opportunity, but don't expect to get rich quick! They will pay you to answer questions. In fact, they will pay you $1 for every question you answer. You can sign up with them and expect an email or text message alerting you about 3-4 times a week when they have a question for you. They pay via paypal as well. The best part is they pay daily. You really don't find many that pay daily but the ones I have found, don't have a ton of assignments available.
So these are the programs I use to work at home. I don't make thousands but I do make hundreds a month, if I stick to my 8am- 5pm online work schedule. I have a few other programs that I have recently joined to start work assignments but have yet to hear from them, so once I do, I will surely write a little tidbit to tell others about them.
