Words With Friends outage resulting in withdrawal pains by NE Tenn residents

It's not just you! If you were vigorously beating the mouse or stylus trying to play Words With Friends tonight, it's not just you. The site is down, and the WWF addicts in Northeast Tennessee are suffering from withdrawal from their favorite nighttime pasttime.

Obviously, our residents are not the only ones wringing their hands. If you visit the Words With Friends Facebook page, you will immediately see literally hundreds of comments, many popping up as you read, expressing their displeasure at the problems on the site tonight. Many comments express relief to know it is not their computers, Android devices, or mobile phones that are causing the outage.

One comment suggested that Zynga take the shed full of cash that they must have by now and hire some good engineers. Sounds like somebody is a little addicted to Words With Friends, doesn't it? Read this amusing article about the current cult following that this Scrabble-like game has.

Hopefully, the game will be up and running again later this morning. If not, there will be some unhappy folks in Northeast Tennessee and other places, too! (Of course, not that your Knoxville Social Media Examiner is at all addicted to forming words with this little social media game...)
