The weather is hot, but it is far from dry. The Spirit of the Lord is flooding Las Vegas. This has been a power packed summer in a City of Grace. God’s people are taking back the area known as Sin City. There is a forceful movement within the church transforming religion into relationship.
For years lone soldiers have ministered on the strip. A spirit of religion was prevalent as some held signs warning of hell fire and damnation. A spirit of authority was manifesting as Kingdom Warriors walked the streets quietly praying and claiming this city for the Lord.
The still small voice was heard. Many members in numerous congregations responded. Christians took to the strip walking and jogging. The eyes of strangers met in passing; recognizing familiar spirits, silent smiles and nods were exchanged acknowledging a common goal.
In 2013 church members gathered 'taking LOVE to the streets'. Void of condemnation and judgment Christians walk the streets ministering and spreading the love of Christ.
On Independence Day 2013 a roar of praise filled the atmosphere as "The Sound" had a flash mob of praise on the Vegas strip. Las Vegas has created movement in the heavens and the Holy Spirit is showering Las Vegas.
This Sunday begins another opportunity to get involved in what God is doing in this City of Grace. Word of Life is holding their annual Spiritual Awakening.
Pastors David and Vicki Shearin will host Jesse Duplantis, Bishop Keith Butler, Isaac Petri and Mark & Trina Hankins. Helen Baylor, Stan Pody and Floyd White will flood the atmosphere with worship and praise.
