Worcester Islamic Center Quran Competition 2010

WIC 2010 QUR'AN COMPETITION

We are delighted to announce that Worcester Islamic Center will be holding its annual Qur'an competition. All ages of students from all communities in New England are welcome to participate. This is an effort to honor the word of Allaah by reading and memorizing while at the same time unifying our Muslim communities in New England by this great worship.

The prizes for the winners are very attractive. Last year one of our prizes was a free 5 star Summer Umrah package for 14 days in Makkah and Madinah. However, the reward from Allaah for those who memorize and recite the Qur'an is unparalleled and unmatched. Thus, all are encouraged to participate in one of the four different categories. Qualified scholars of Q'uran and Imams will be the judges who will oversee this competition. They will only judge the students on memorization and Tajweed. Beautiful voice is a plus but not the most important element of the competition.

CATEGORIES:

1. SURAH AL-ANBIYA'A, Chapter 21.
2. SURAH AN-NAJM, Chapter 53.
