Woodward Tahoe, an action sports training center and youth camp at Boreal Mountain Resort near Lake Tahoe, is offering a deal for the spring ski/ride season.
Woodward Tahoe is currently selling the first-ever Spring Bunker Pass for $149, which Boreal says is a 62-percent saving. The facility originally opened its doors for public sessions on August 2012 for the inaugural season. It is open every day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. through the conclusion of the Boreal ski/snowboard season (April 14).
Spring Bunker passes can be purchased online by visiting www.woodwardtahoe.com/springpass. Boreal Mountain Resort is located off Interstate-80 at Donner Summit.
Woodward Tahoe aids in skill development
Located at the base of Boreal ski resort, Woodward Tahoe is a good place for people of all abilities to have fun with their friends and grow their skills. It doesn’t matter if you’re a new skater that needs help dropping in, a snowboarder wanting to develop awareness in the air, a skier with the desire to develop strength and stability, a biker looking to lock in that first back-flip, or casual sports enthusiast looking to develop balance and skill in your first action sport. The facility has the tools to help people of all levels.
Many skiers and snowboarders dial in some tricks at Woodward and then take them to the slopes of Boreal (with a lift ticket or season pass) where the snow is slushy and the terrain parks are prime.
Spring Bunker Pass
The Spring Bunker Pass is valid for unlimited daily usage at the Woodward Tahoe facility – dubbed ‘The Bunker’ – from Feb. 25 through April 14. The pass will provide access to the 33,000-square-foot indoor facility that offers multi-level Olympic trampolines, a Super Tramp, a concrete skate park for skateboarding and BMX biking, a pump track and skatelite ramps to foam pits for freeski, snowboard, BMX and skateboard training.
A Bunker Pass also includes a CORE membership (value $49) which enables you to access ‘Basic Training’ sessions daily. Basic Training is designed to teach you everything you need to know in order to safely use the facilities, while also giving individuals a solid dose of skill development. Each zone in the Woodward Tahoe Bunker has specific training and members will need to be cleared in each zone prior to use.
CORE members can upgrade to Bunker Pass
Woodward Tahoe guests who have already purchased a CORE membership ($49) are invited to upgrade to a Spring Bunker Pass for only $100. CORE members may simply pay the upgrade upon their next visit to Woodward Tahoe to begin unlimited daily access thanks to the Spring Bunker pass.
Following winter and spring operations, Woodward Tahoe will close for public usage on April 14, at which time the Woodward Team will begin preparations for summer camp. Woodward Tahoe will host nine weeks of camp, including four weeks of on-snow camp for skiing and snowboarding, plus camps for skateboarding, BMX, digital media and cheer/tumble.
Woodward is currently taking reservations for camp at www.woodwardtahoe.com, and offering $50 off the retail rates to all campers who sign-up prior to April 1
