The Oakland Raiders defeated AFC West foe San Diego Chargers 27-17 on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the O.Co in Oakland, CA. FS Charles Woodson tied the NFL record of most defensive scores with his 13th defensive touchdown equalling Rod Woodson and Darren Sharper.
QB Terrelle Pryor jumped started the Raiders with a 44-yard touchdown on their first play off scrimmage. The Raiders added another touchdown late in the first quarter and adding a Sebastian Janikowski field goal in the second quarter while shutting down the Chargers for a 17-0 half time lead.
The Raiders defense came up with five turnovers including a fumble that Woodson picked up for a touchdown. Oakland also stopped a fourth and one at the goal line. The Chargers got on the board with a Nick Novak field goal in the third quarter before Woodson's score.
San Diego got a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter before Janikowski capped the scoring with a 50-yard field goal for the 27-17 victory.
The Raiders (2-3) is tied with San Diego at the bottom of the AFC West. Oakland will travel to Kansas City to play the AFC West co-leader Chiefs on Sunday, October 13, 2013.
