Wood-Ridge placed second in the youth basketball league

Wood-Ridge 5th and 6th grade girls placed second in the youth basketball league in Westwood, NJ.

Wood-Ridge ended the regular season with a record of 7-2. In the first round of the play-offs they beat the Buzzer Beaters, 22-8. In the championship game they lost to A&W.

Wood-Ridge enjoys playing together and works hard as a team.

Runner-up MVP was awarded to point guard Jenna Castellano. She pushes the ball up the court and looks for teammates. She is a pass first, shoot second player. She works hard on defense to pressure the ball.

MVP was awarded to Emily Cupo. Cupo is a post player who aggressively attacks the boards for rebounds and put-backs. She can also hit from the outside. She finished the game with 12 points.
