February 9: Woo at the Zoo…The National Zoo in DC will be hosting the only event in town where you can get jaw-dropping, cheek blushing fun stories of frisky flirtations, and the irresistible ruses animals use to sweep their mates off their feet. January 31 - 12th annual Sugar & Champagne Affair. The Washington Humane Society’s 12th annual dessert and champagne reception honors our local crusaders against animal cruelty. Admission. Event begins at 7 p.m. at the Ronald Reagan Building and Internation Trade Center in Washington DC.

February 2 - Super Bowl Chili Fest. Join us to taste your favorite chili recipes. We have a chicken chili, a vegetarian, a sausage and beef, and a mild or spicy beef chili. All money raised benefits the South County Faith Network. $10, all you can eat. 12-4 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church in West River.

February 3 - Chocolate Festival. The Odenton Heritage Chocolate Festival will be held from 1-4 p.m. at the Odenton Heritage Society on 1367 Odenton Road in Odenton. Adult admission is $15.00 and includes a $10.00 box of Spagnvola bonBons.

February 7 - The Peking Acrobats. The Peking Acrobats’ 2,000 year-old tradition of China's most gifted tumblers, contortionists, jugglers, cyclists and gymnasts will come to Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts on Thursday, February 7 at 7 pm for an entertaining evening for the whole family. Tickets are $30
