Women Take Charge in New '300: Rise of an Empire' Trailer

The Spartans in 300? Manly as Hell, right? And there will be plenty of sword 'n shield action with muscly dudes in Noam Murro's 300: Rise of an Empire, as well, but it does seem as if it's the ladies who are taking charge of the sequel, led by Lena Headey and Eva Green.

300: Rise of an Empire

Yet another trailer has been released for the sequel to Zack Snyder's flick, and at the center of it are Headey and Green as Queen Gorgo of Sparta and Artemisia, the commander of Xerxes' naval fleet. Gorgo is seeking revenge for the death of her husband Leonidas (previously played by Gerard Butler), gathering together a Greek force led by Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) to stop Xerxes and Artemisia's invasion.

Co-starring Rodrigo Santoro, Jack O'Connell, and Callan Mulvey, 300: Rise of an Empire opens March 7th.
