Time for a little self promotion, but more than that – great news for women's soccer fans.
Women’s World Football Show has hit the airwaves! This all-access podcast and Internet radio show is dedicated to reporting the latest news and views on international women’s football (that's soccer to you, Yanks). The bimonthly show debuted in October of 2013 with features on UEFA Champions League, 2015 Women’s World Cup qualifiers and international friendlies.
Hosted by sports writers Adam Barlow and myself, Women’s World Football Show features spotlights on national teams the world over, leagues of all levels, player profiles, interviews, contests and more.
Adam and I have reported on women’s soccer for many years and wanted to take the coverage to another level and Women’s World Football Show allows us to do just that.
With Adam based in England and me in Southern California, it gives us a truly unique international flavor. We hope to offer supporters of women’s football a place where they can go for information and entertainment.
Adam writes for Sports International Magazine, where he reports on FA Women’s Soccer League, as well as various local women’s teams.
Both Adam and I are true students of the women’s game, bringing listeners a supporter’s point-of-view while sharing plenty of insider information. Periodically, the show will welcome guest correspondences and roving reporters from countries and regions all over the world.
“After the first show aired, I couldn’t wait to get the second one underway,” says Adam. “It’s great fun to talk women’s footie and it’s a rare thing to get a world-wide perspective – not just from the professionals but from the fans as well. Patty and I are both very positive when it comes to the women’s game and we look forward to giving the game and the athletes their proper due.”
Each broadcast will air for approximately 40 to 50 minutes, twice monthly. Women’s World Football Show is available through iTunes, most podcast apps, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, SoundCloud and on their website at WWFShow.com.
