The women’s qualification at the 2013 World Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp concluded Monday afternoon.
For the all-around, Simone Biles of the United States leads with a total of 60.133.
Biles’ teammate, 2012 Olympic gold medalist Kyla Ross, qualified in second with a total of 59.198.
China’s Jinnan Yao qualified in third with a total of 57.965.
If Biles and Ross finish in the top two spots, it will be the first time the U.S women have won gold and silver in the all-around at a World Championships since 2009.
The qualifiers to the individual apparatus finals are diverse due to some top countries from last year’s London Summer Games underperforming. Russian Aliya Mustafina, who won bronze in the all-around and gold on uneven bars in London, fell on floor and had uncharacteristic mistakes on balance beam and uneven bars. She has qualified to the all-around in fifth and is not a favorite to repeat her gold medal on uneven bars where she has qualified in fifth as well.
Below are the qualifiers to the individual apparatus finals.
