As students return to campus after a chilly Florida spring break and the electricity remains in the air from the recent celebration of International Women’s Day, it is time to continue honoring the herstory of women through the Women’s History Month events at the University of Florida. The Women’s Student Association, organizing this month-long program around the theme of Breaking Borders: Women United in Diversity, will host and sponsor over 20 events, including events on eating disorders, self-defense, empowering girls, and men's perception of women, femininity, and masculinity. If you’re looking for ways to get engaged with women’s issues in Gainesville, any of these events will connect you with talented individuals who are working to provide women with the resources they need to become leaders on campus and in their communities.
