The Fresno State women’s basketball team remains undefeated in Western Athletic Conference play after a 61-59 victory over Louisiana Tech Saturday night.
The visiting Bulldogs were led by freshmen Ki-Ki Moore and Madison Parrish, who contributed 35 points in the victory in front of a crowd of 7,034.
Fresno State is now 7-0 in WAC with seven conference matches remaining. Utah State is not far behind at 6-1, followed by La. Tech with a 4-3 record.
"Louisiana Tech had a great environment," head coach Adrian Wiggins told gobulldogs.com. "We played a good and competitive team tonight. I'm proud of effort and attitude on and off the court."
The Bulldogs maintained the lead almost the entire game, trailing just once in the first minute. The Lady Techsters stayed hot on the Bulldogs’ trail though and tied the game at 49 in the second half.
But Moore shined in those last seven minutes adding eight points of her own. Moore totaled 20 points on the night with four rebounds and five steals.
Fresno State forced 20 turnovers and scored 14 points off of those turnovers.
"It doesn't matter who we play," Parrish told gobulldogs.com. "We come out playing our game and tonight we did that and got the win."
The Bulldogs are now 19-4 overall and continue the second half of WAC play Feb. 11 at Nevada. The Bulldogs will then host Idaho Feb. 16 and Utah State Feb. 18.
