Women of Wisdom conference is coming soon

Tacoma is located in the central Puget Sound region and although we are technically close to Seattle and the northern Puget Sound region we often don’t hear much about the Pagan and other likeminded organizations in that area. However, there are a lot of exciting things going on just north of us that we can take part in and help to grow and strengthen our community. One of these events is the 22nd annual Women of Wisdom conference (WOW) that is happening February 14-17, 2014.

As a whole Women of Wisdom has a focus of bringing women of all backgrounds, all ethnicities and all religions together to learn from each other and build strength in our communities. It is said best by their vision statement that reads “We live in a world where the feminine spirit is honored and women's contribution to society is valued and necessary for the evolution of humanity.” The four day WOW conference is held in Seattle at the North Seattle Community College and will feature many workshops, artists, presenters, healers and some incredible music as well.

Preforming on Saturday, February 15,2014 at the Women of Wisdom conference will be the well-known performer SJ Tucker who is highly popular with the Pagan community nationwide. SJ Tucker will also be releasing her latest album that night! Also preforming with her will be Betsy Tinney who is releasing her album on Saturday, January 11, 2014. The two performers, as well as many others, are going to make this year’s WOW conference even more exciting.
