Women hid boy for 8 years: Kidnapped baby boy in Texas, hid and renamed him

The phrase, “women hid boy for 8 years” has quickly become the top trending search term on major search engines today after Clarion Ledger News reported this Tuesday, Feb. 19, that two Texas women kidnapped a baby boy eight years ago, renamed him, and raised the boy as their own before being caught and arrested.

A Texas jury convicted two women this Tuesday of kidnapping a young boy from Houston when he was no more than eight months old, hiding him for eight years until he was recently found.

The jurors deliberated for only two hours until they found Gloria Walker, and her daughter, Krystle Tanner, guilty of kidnapping in the disappearance of Miguel Morin back in 2004, a now 8-year-old boy. Walker was similarly found guilty of injury to a child, while her daughter was charged with reckless injury to a child.

Both women face up to 20 years in prison, with Gloria Walker possibly being sentenced to life in jail.

Not all details on the “two women hid boy for 8 years” trend have come to light yet, but prosecutors argued that Tanner used to babysit Miguel and once took the young boy from his Houston home as a baby. She and her mother then moved to East Texas to hide the child, keeping him out of school and naming him Jaquan.
