'Women Don't Fall From the Sky' TV pilot screening on March 26th

Monktree Productions, Inc and Mount Hua Entertainment Group together in their first major collaboration project present their first Chinese American television series pilot, WOMEN DON'T FALL FROM THE SKY (WDFFTS) on Saturday, March 26th, 2011 at 7:00 pm in the South Pasadena Auditorium located at 1115 El Centro Street, South Pasadena, CA 91030.

The WDFFTS pilot was shot entirely on location in the 626 area code of San Gabriel Valley in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Their talents include international Taiwanese star Eric Tu with local familiar actresses Janet Chu, Lee Chen and Cici Lau as well as new talents Tom Chou, Dori Lu, Kat Yang, Yo Yo Deng and featuring their main starlet, five-year-old Jolene Wai.

Set in the heart of 626, San Gabriel Valley, WOMEN DON’T FALL FROM THE SKY, examine the intertwining lives and relationships between Chinese immigrants and Chinese-Americans.

At the center of the story is five-year old girl, Katie, whose parents are in the midst of a divorce. Her new neighbor, Simon Lee, a successful chiropractor with woman trouble starts to develop a friendship with her mother Lily. With good intentions of bringing her estranged parents back together, Katie accidentally causes chaos between Simon and her father, Joe Huang.

This heartfelt TV series shows us that relationships are everlasting and everyone we meet has a profound role in our lives. The writer, director, producers, production crew and talents are scheduled to appear for the film screening.

A panel discussion will be scheduled after the screening for interviews and Q&A.

Appetizers and light refreshments will be served.
