Yesterday it seems justice was served concerning Tori Carrillo and Monica Ferreri of Redlands, California. The pair set Monica's 15 year old cat on fire, then posted a video of it on Facebook bragging about the incident. Though a few friends liked the post and one commented on how it was awesome, one of her friends Katie Lenart tried telling the girls how wrong and ridiculous it was. However Monica replied with "the cat's not on fire, it's just a bit of her fur, chill." Katie was right and it seems that yesterday Monica was arrested and is now facing animal abuse charges. The video was removed from the Facebook and both girls cannot be found either at this moment on Facebook. It seems justice was served for this 15 year old feline. As for the fur baby? She was severely injured but is now getting the care she needs at an animal shelter.
What mad these girls do such a horrific thing is still up for questioning. Lighting an animal on fire is wrong on many levels and should be treated very seriously. What is wrong with this world where some can derive pleasure from the pain of our beloved animals, who do nothing but love us? That is a question for the books. However in this case at least, justice has been served.
