Everyone in attendance at the rape should stand trial! Enough!!!!!!!!!!!
So boys, if you liked this rape up close and personal......just wait until you get to the "Big House". You let me know how it goes because you have lots of friends waiting for you here. And for you scumbag asshats who watched......your houses should be burned and your families should be run out of town.
all of you and i mean the ones that watched are sick...y don't you come to pa i get ya all, you all deserve the death penalty...scumBaGs...eat your own shi* and die
there's plenty of blame to go around, folks! we've heard it all before--movies, TV, video games, rap music, all the influences we subject our children to, then we get angry when they show how well they've learned! so much easier to spew hatred and venom toward those individuals, punish them to the fullest extent of the law, and then some, than it is to stop rewarding those who profit from the dissemination of violence, hatred, glorification of anti-social behaviors, etc. why? because we're the consumers of this stuff! if we weren't, it wouldn't be profitable, and if wasn't profitable, it wouldn't exist.
Michael Jackson said it well, "take a look at the man in the mirror."
many lives will be ruined by this incident, not just one girl's. there could be some positive outcome, though, if each of us takes on some of the blame and resolves to make a change in our social values. we can do it. only we can do it. if we don't, stay tuned, there's much worse yet to come.
The blame falls on the entire Richmond community, starting with the parents all the way down to the people who sold the alcohol.
They should all be ashamed of themselves.
The lesson to be learned here is that there is a psychological effect (can't remember what it is called) wherein the MORE people there are witnessing a negative event the LESS likely anyone is to call the police because they all assume that since there are so many people present that someone else has already done it. Take responsibility. When you witness something, take charge and be the one to call, don't assume that someone else must have.
Rapes and sexual abuse and assault are a DAILY event that happen EVERYDAY in our schools from kindergarten to High School (k-12). Unfortunately, these sort of sexual exploitation is nothing new in our society and culture today. The only thing that makes this story rare, is that some of the alleged rapists were caught and supposedly punished or will be and that the alleged victim was compensated or will be. Most of the time (around 90%) neither the rape is reported and neither are the perpetrators punished. These are real facts. As long as females continue to be OBJECTIFIED as sex objects and thus, dehumized in the mass media, women will not be treated with respect and will continue to be sexually exploited. You really need to look at how the broader culture and environment breeds and fosters this sort of sexual abuse against women.
