Woman tried to frame hubby: Vicious plot to get hubby arrested backfires

A woman tried to frame her hubby in a vicious plot in order to get her estranged husband arrested by installing sexually explicit pictures of children on his computer. Fortunately for her hubby, the woman’s attempt to frame him backfired and instead of her husband, the woman herself was arrested and charged with a felony count of sexual abuse of children and with 40 counts of lying, according to a Dec. 23, 2013, Daily News report.

The woman’s plot to try to frame her hubby began when 42-year-old Meri Jane Woods of Cherry Hill Township in Pennsylvania walked into state police quarters in the town of Indiana to report that her husband had sexually abused children.

According to the woman’s description of events, her hubby had allegedly sexually abused children, downloaded several images of the abuse on their home computer, and -- being a responsible citizen -- she was at the police quarters to report him.

Unfortunately for the woman who tried to frame her hubby, investigators discovered that the incriminating graphic images on their home computer were downloaded a month after her husband had moved out of their Cherry Hill Township home and just three days prior to the woman's report. The vicious plot to get rid of her husband backfired and Meri Jane Woods was charged with the crime herself.
