Woman tried to frame hubby: Estranged wife reports hubby on false sexual claims

A woman tried to frame her hubby on false sexual abuse and child pornography claims recently, leading to one twisted plot that fortunately was discovered before the man was arrested. The estranged wife, 42-year-old Meri Jane Woods, lives in western Pennsylvania and reportedly tried everything from adding explicit images of children onto his home computer to wrongful allegations in an attempt to frame her husband as a form of “revenge.” Fox News provides the latest details on this scheming woman and her unwitting plans to get her spouse into serious trouble with the law this Monday, Dec. 23, 2013.

The woman who tried to frame her hubby may have been unsuccessful in doing so, but she came quite close. According to court records on the still developing story, Meri Jane Woods (who hails from Cherry Hill Township) does not yet have an official attorney listed in her case file, nor does she have a documented phone number.

State troopers and police officials have described that the investigation into this strange case began when the estranged wife arrived at her local law enforcement station back in August to report a crime. Woods claimed that she had evidence her husband was sexually abusing children, and even downloaded images of the crime on the man’s home computer. Initially, there seemed nothing false about this woman’s claims, noted police, who took immediate action on the matter.

Pennsylvania officials arrived at the home and inspected the computer. While they did indeed find child pornography within that pointed to the sexual abuse claims being true, police then learned that the images were inputted in early August, while Woods’ own hubby had in fact left the home back in late July.

Her framing of him was revealed then and there, as the estranged wife was said to have downloaded the illegal child pornography and sexually graphic images — in this story that seems to have come out of a “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit” episode — only three days before reporting her claims to the police.

As provided in the original press release on the woman tried to frame hubby story, Woods is now the individual who will be facing charges for her crimes. Her exact motivation for attempting to get her husband into such trouble has not yet been verified by investigating officials.

“The 42-year-old woman is charged with a felony count of sexual abuse of children for possessing a computer with the images on it, and 40 counts of lying about alleged abuse incidents involving her husband.”
