Woman that poured hot sauce in son's eyes has been arrested

Robin Willette Rumsey, 38, and her friend, Krista Jean Miller, 33, were arrested for multiple felony child abuse and endangerment charges after it was found they had a pattern of abuse against Rumsey's son, said the West Valley Police in Salt Lake City, Utah on Thursday.

A probably cause statement stated that the 14-year-old boy was punished by having Tabasco sauce poured into his eyes, reports ABC News. The two women also forced him to smoke marijuana and poured alcohol over his face and kept him in the basement.

Marsha Christensen, Rumsey's foster mother does not believe the allegations and told KSL-TV news she believes that everything was made up because of the custody battle going on over the boy.

The teen is now in the custody of his father, said West Valley Police Sgt. Jason Hauer.

"This case is full of mysteries. There are a lot of questions coming up that I don't have answers to, mostly because the case is still active, said Hauer. "The arrests made two days ago with Krista and Robin are probably just the beginning of other allegations that are going to come to light in this case.
