The Huffington Post reports a story today about a woman who stabbed her husband because he allegedly enjoyed NASCAR too much. On Sunday, authorities arrested Stephanie Hamman, 23, a Tennessee woman and charged her with attempted first-degree murder and felony vandalism.

Husband Steven said that his wife called him after she drove her car into a church on Sunday evening. When he arrived, he found his wife lying on the church’s altar. Allegedly, she told him the devil was in her. She then stabbed him in the chest. He removed the knife from his chest and called the police.

She told police he watched too much NASCAR, which led to the stabbing. She also said she had smoked marijuana all day.

Stephanie Hamman explained why she smoked marijuana:

“Sometimes when I do, I start seeing things that others don’t. Isn’t God good? He told me this would happen, and just look, I am okay.”

She is currently being held without bail while her husband recovers from his wound.
