Lisa Norris, 47, of Harvey, La. was arrested Monday after deputies from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office say she stabbed her boyfriend with a kitchen knife because she believed the boyfriend was sleeping with her teenage daughter, The Times-Picayune reported today.
Glen T. Boyd, spokesperson for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office said that Norris was charged with second-degree battery after the stabbing.
The victim told investigators Norris started an argument with him at their apartment because she believed he was sleeping with her 16-year-old daughter, Boyd said.
Norris then moved towards the kitchen and grabbed a knife.
According to the arrest report, the 53-year-old boyfriend tried to leave after the argument started, but didn’t get too far. Lisa Norris stabbed the man in the stomach; and then she left the scene.
Deputies arrested Norris a short time later.
Lisa Norris is being held at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center on a $10,000 bond.
