According to a Tuesday article on the Kingsport Times-News website, the Kingsport Police Department discovered a concealed weapon on Dallas J. Archer when they were booking her for driver’s license offenses. It may be more accurate to say that they found the .22 caliber mini-revolver inside the 19-year-old woman, and it was loaded. Archer is now facing felony charges for introducing contraband into the jail via her vagina where she had hidden the weapon.

Archer’s legal problems intensified when the authorities ran a check on the gun and determined that it was stolen in a 2013 auto burglary. The weapon in question was a North American Arms 22 LR revolver. Originally, the police had stopped the suspect after her mother accused her of assault and described her vehicle. When the officers pulled her over, they discovered she was driving on a suspended license and had several unanswered citations. The gun was discovered when they were booking her on these charges.

An arrest was made on charges of the introduction of contraband into a penal facility, along with the original charges of driving on a suspended license. The domestic assault charges where quite serious because Archer was accused of choking her mother, but it is not known if they will pursue charges on this or the possession of a stolen firearm.

According to Southern Blotter, Dallas Jean Archer had been previously arrested on April 4 and incarcerated for domestic assault and vandalism. There is no record of when she was released. The incident in which the revolver was discovered occurred on April 21. It is unclear how the two incidents relate. The vandalism in the April 4 charges supposedly involved pouring bleach on some clothing.

The situation was explained as the gun being discovered by a female corrections officer during the initial booking process. It would seem, however, that the suspect would be walking in a most suspicious manner anyway. The online comments regarding Archer’s hidden weapon have been very creative in their punditry and humor.

The actual details of when or why Archer had placed the weapon inside her body cavity are not yet known. It could be that she just did not know how to get it out before she entered police custody. It could also be that she placed it there to avoid being caught with the gun when they pulled her over. Regardless, the whole story is very bizarre.
