Was a woman shot over a football game loss? That might be the case here. On Dec. 3, Fox News reported that Adrian Laroze Briskey, 28, has been charged with murder after allegedly killing 36-year-old Michelle Shepherd. The two women were both Alabama fans -- so what went wrong? According to Shepherd's sister, Briskey was made because no one else was really upset about Crimson Tide's loss. So she shot someone.
"The victim's sister, Nekesa Shepherd, said she witnessed the killing and had no doubt it was about football, even though it was unclear to investigators whether the violence was motivated by the game," Fox News reported.
The woman shot over Alabama's loss was an Alabama fan just like Adrian Laroze Briskey -- but apparently Briskey didn't appreciate how nonchalant Michelle Shepherd was about the loss. According to Shepherd's sister, Briskey "flew into a rage" when she overheard the women joking about the game -- they said it would have been worse if the Miami Heat lost a game... and that apparently sent Briskey over the edge.
"She said we weren't real Alabama fans because it didn't bother us that they lost. And then she started shooting," Shepherd told The Associated Press (via Fox News).
The woman shot over Alabama's loss was a mother of three. She was killed in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Alabama. For more on this story, watch the video above.
