A Sacramento, Calif., woman credits her devoted dog with saving her from dying in a raging house fire, reported CBS Sacramento.
Debbie White's dog, a pit bull mix named "Forest," did more than simply bark to alert her to the fire which had broken out within her home on Christmas Eve.
White was sound asleep when Forest raced into her room to alert her to the deadly blaze - when White failed to immediately get up and run out of the room, her dog took hold of her body and proceeded to drag her out of the house and into the front yard.
White is certain that Forest's actions prevented her from dying - she know that her family would have been planning a funeral, rather than Christmas festivities, if her loyal dog had not taken action.
