A Montgomery County, Texas woman is facing manslaughter charges after she allegedly ran her husband over with a car following an argument at their home Conroe home, according to a March 10, 2013 report from the Montgomery County Reporter.
According to reports, Ruthie Cook-Scheer, 56, was arguing with her husband Saturday night when she got into her car and accidentally backed over her husband, 66-year-old Frank Scheer. The husband was found pinned under the car when police arrived. He was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene.
The couple was allegedly arguing over a credit card when Ruthie got into the car. Ruthie was reportedly intoxicated at the time of the accident.
Police and emergency crews reportedly had to use a jack to lift the car high enough to remove Frank from underneath. His body was transported to the Montgomery County Forensic Center where an autopsy is to be performed.
Ruthie was arrested and charged with manslaughter and is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail on $50,000 bond.
