ALLIANCE, OH. - A pregnant woman was arrested on Thursday after she stole merchandise from a Wal-Mart store while in labor.
Katurah Petty and her female accomplice Staniel Petty were arrested on Thursday after allegedly stealing merchandise from the Wal-Mart store. Katurah Petty was in labor at the time of the theft.
Authorities advised that the women stole approximately $271 worth of computer software by using computer – generated serial number labels to steal the merchandise.
Police arrested the two women and charged with theft of property.
Katurah Petty was transported to a local hospital where she gave birth to her baby.
No information was available on the condition of mother or child.
