By now you've probably heard the news that a woman quits job via video of interpretive dance to Kanye West's song "Gone." However, you may not have seen the company's awesome response video.
According to an Oct. 1 Complex report, Marina Shifrin created a video at 4:30 a.m. because she decided to quit her job. She had sacrificed relationships, time, and friendships over the two years she worked there, and she felt that her boss valued quantity of views over quality of work. In her video she wrote,
"I have put my entire life into this job, but my boss only cares about quantity, how fast we write and how many views each video gets. I believe it's more important to focus on the quality of the content. When you learn to improve this, the views will come."
Sounds a bit like a place nobody would want to work. However, the company, Next Media Animation, created a response video that was seriously epic. Now, Marina Shifrin's video went viral, and it currently has over 5.85 million views on it, but the company's video is just getting started.
It features the same song with lots of happy employees also dancing. The great news is, Next Media Animation is now hiring. While they wished Marina Shifrin well, they also asked for people to submit their resumes. It's a pretty awesome looking place to work. Everybody can dance (or at least have fun trying) and they have a pool and sauna on the roof (awesome)!
Check out the response to "Woman quits job" and see if this place could be the place for you! One this is certain, this company is pretty smart to try to take advantage of some of its disgruntled employee's social media views in this way. They say any publicity is a good thing. Perhaps it is.
